Professional Journey
My path into person-centered care began as a physiotherapist specialising in geriatrics at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in 2015.
My work included supporting older adults in the inpatient dementia ward and hip fracture unit, running outpatient dementia programmes, and providing home therapy for patients returning home after a hospital stay. But over time, I came to see that well-being involves more than just physical recovery.
This led me to join the hospital’s Population Health team, where I supported older adults beyond the hospital's walls — facilitating neighbour-to-neighbour connections, nurturing resident-led initiatives, and companioning individuals through both health and life transitions at a weekly community health post.

I also led arts-in-health programmes that blended dance with falls prevention, and singing with breathlessness — showing me how care could be creative, relational, and joyful. These experiences deepened my belief that meaningful connection nurtures more than recovery. It fosters autonomy, honours dignity, and creates space for belonging and contribution — the building blocks of true well-being.

Personal Journey
My understanding of support has also been shaped by personal experience.

In 2023, a season of personal loss marked the beginning of deep reflection, inner growth, and healing. Through that journey — which continues as a lifelong process — I discovered the quiet gift of being seen, heard, and accompanied without pressure. I came to understand how essential it is to have someone beside you through moments of becoming, beginning, and simply being.

The Heart of Alongside
Alongside reflects a simple truth: that presence itself can be care.

Here, you are honoured for your being over your doing. Every small step is celebrated. And renewal unfolds gently, at your own pace.

Not to fix, but to accompany. To hold space for becoming, for meaning, and for quiet thriving.

My hope is that every encounter leaves you feeling seen, heard and understood.
