Becoming

For older adults seeking physiotherapy in the comfort of home
💪🏻

After a fall, surgery or illness, your loved one’s sense of independence and dignity can feel shaken.

alongside Becoming offers home-based physiotherapy for older adults, supporting them to become stronger and regain balance, function, and confidence.

Who this is for

alongside Becoming is especially meaningful for older adults who are:

  • Prone to falling or living with a fear of falling

  • Experiencing generalised weakness or deconditioning after a long hospital stay

  • Struggling with daily activities due to reduced mobility or pain (e.g. knee osteoarthritis)

  • Currently sedentary, but motivated to begin a simple exercise routine to maintain strength and function

  • Recovering from hip or knee replacement surgery

It's about offering support in ways that feel meaningful to your loved one, at their pace.

Taking public transport together and mapping safe routes to familiar places to build confidence with mobility in the community

After a leg injury left me almost without strength in my thigh, I was demoralised, unable to see an end to my unpleasant situation. Rachel met me where I was, assigning me “homework” that accounted for my physical state at that point. With patience and care, she skilfully adjusted the difficulty of my exercises. She helped me find hope by allowing me to regain independence and mobility. I am forever grateful and highly recommend her if you are recovering from an injury and want to do it right."
